RULES: |

1. Follow all Donna Shepard Intermediate School rules. 2. Follow instructions immediately the first time they are given. 3. Treat each other, your teacher and your school property with respect. You may not be "mean" to anyone here at ANY time for ANY reason! 4. Remain silent and in your seat unless given permission to talk or move. 5. Complete all assignments to the BEST of your ability! 6. NO WHINING! |

PROCEDURES: |
|
1. ENTER THE ROOM SILENTLY and go directly to
your seat.
2. Immediately read and follow the instructions on the board. 3. When you hear your teacher say "class," look at your teacher and listen for instructions with your ears AND your eyes! 4. When you need your teacher's attention, raise your hand and WAIT patiently! 5. To indicate that you understand instructions, nod your head twice. 6. To respond to a question during class participation, raise your hand and wait to be called on. 7. When getting materials out, do so quickly and quietly. 8. You will be assigned a specific computer for your use during the 6 weeks. Treat it with EXTREME care! You will LOSE the privilege of using a school computer if you cannot follow the rules and procedures of this class. 9. Keep your eyes on your screen and your ears on instructions. We will move very fast during CT 5 instructional time. 10. Keep the room and your area NEAT and CLEAN! 11. No food, drinks or gum ever in the computer lab or band hall. You will LOSE the privilege of using a school computer if you cannot follow the rules and procedures of this class. 12. When we have a visitor, continue working unless your attention is requested. 13. When announcements are made, listen attentively, then follow instructions given, or go right back to work. 14. If the teacher is out of the classroom, continue working silently on your assignment. 15. We will use "please," "thank you" and "you're welcome" at the appropriate times. 16. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU! This especially applies to things that belong to your classmates and teacher! 17. If you are suddenly VERY ill, or if you lose a tooth, raise your hand and stand-up. Your teacher will immediately respond. Say "I feel very sick" or "I lost a tooth" and you will be excused to go to the nurse. Mr. Julian does not take care of lost teeth, runny or bloody noses or any other physical problems or illnesses. 18. If we are in the computer lab and you finish your work early, you may: A. Work on Keyboarding skills with "Type to Learn 3" B. Review computer skills from previous lessons C. Surf to approved sites 19. At the end of class, wait for instructions to put materials away. Your teacher, not the clock and not the bell, will always dismiss you. 20. "Game Day" is a reward you earn for doing a great job on your CT 5 assignments and for exhibiting excellent behavior. You will LOSE this privilege if you do not meet class expectations. On Game Days you are to: A. remain SILENT B. use Mr. Julian's Game Day website to find games C. have fun! There are links to 1000's of games on the website, but if, AFTER checking all the sites you have a suggestion for a site that is not on the list, write the URL down and give it to Mr. Julian (read that again: "WRITE DOWN THE URL!"). If approved it will be added to the Game Day website.
